Job Description
Jones Associates, Inc., a well-established forestry, environmental consulting and survey company located in Auburn Maine, is seeking applications for a Forester position. Candidates must have a degree in forestry with 1 year experience in Maine/New England. Forester responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Land owner outreach, preparing forest management plans and tree growth applications, timber cruising, GPS field work, timber marking, overseeing harvesting operations, and working with NRCS funded programs. The successful applicant must have the ability to work unsupervised, understand and follow written and oral instructions; the ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing is essential. Individuals must have a clean driving record, be willing to work outside in all types of weather and be able to work independently. Benefits package includes paid time off and retirement. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must be prepared to perform year-round field work throughout southern and western Maine. Please submit cover letter and resume .
