Job Description Do you have a passion for space? While others may be putting people in space, we are putting people on the Moon and Mars and beyond. Job Description The Amentum Space Exploration Division (ASED) Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) team is a high performing group executing challenging tasks to design and integrate GN&C systems for projects ranging from CubeSats to NASA's Space Launch System (SLS). We are looking at the last minute for an undergraduate or a graduate student fall intern with academic or work experience in controls, 6 DOF modeling, simulation, and tool development! This position will support the Human Lander System Program (HLSP) to ensure safety and mission success in sending humans back to the Moon! Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Develop, modify, and maintain software simulations, tools, and scripts Create, edit, and debug software written in MATLAB, Simulink, and/or Simscape Multibody Model, simulate, and analyze launch vehicle and/or spacecraft dynamics and performance Analyze systems in the time and frequency domain Work with GN&C leads and other engineering disciplines Support verification and validation of technical products Prepare and present technical reports and/or briefings Create and review engineering and software documentation
