ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Works independently to resolve routine and moderately difficult tasks with occasional support and consults with higher level expertise as needed. Expected to be fully proficient in the area of expertise. Provide support for fabrication and maintenance of complex hardware in-the-loop (HITL) components. Understand and analyze data from documents, including Government specifications to determine feasibility of a design or application.
GENERAL DUTIES
Core Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintain flight motion simulator hydraulic systems. Build/fabricate components to be installed, operated, and maintained in systems and fixtures for HITL simulations, including general laboratory equipment, complex instrumentation, flight motion simulators, rate tables and target generation equipment with precision optical components. Perform technical shop computations such as dimensioning and tooling and establishing optimum feed rates and machine speeds. Set up and operate lathes, drill presses, milling machines, other precision tools and hand tools. Cut, drill, tap and accomplish work in a variety of metals. Perform metal inert gas and tungsten inert gas welding and silver soldering. Perform preventive maintenance and corrosion control. Maintain and reconfigure test areas and equipment, including cleaning, painting, routine servicing, light repair, construction, and general housekeeping of the GWEF work areas.

OTHER DUTIES
Provide facility security, according to the Government operating instructions, for access control, security escort and building opening and closing.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Training certificates in electronics, engineering, machining, or mechanics from trade schools, colleges, military, etc. Must possess an extensive working knowledge to understand, operate, and maintain large complex industrial scale systems including hydraulic flight motion simulators, machining/fabrication systems, etc.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must hold Top Secret security clearance. Supports E-OMS operational objectives; observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
: Most duties will be performed in a temperature-controlled office environment. May require outside work occasionally.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Will be subject to substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to have close visual acuity to perform activities; and require some lifting or moving of heavy objects or materials.
