POSITION SUMMARY

The Interventional Psychiatry Technician is responsible for the safe, protocol-driven delivery of Hunter Clinics' interventional treatment services

•Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato (esketamine

•under the supervision of the ordering physician or advanced practice provider. The technician directly administers treatments, monitors patients for safety and response, and supports the data and documentation that keep the interventional psychiatry service line compliant and reimbursable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES TMS

Treatment Delivery Perform motor threshold determination and coil/chair positioning on the MagVenture TMS platform per physician-ordered protocol. Administer daily TMS treatment sessions independently once protocol and motor threshold are established, monitoring patient tolerance and stimulation parameters throughout. Screen and monitor for seizure risk and other adverse events; execute emergency response protocol and notify the supervising physician immediately if one occurs. Maintain accurate session-by-session treatment logs, including any protocol adjustments ordered by the physician. Perform routine equipment checks, calibration verification, and coordinate manufacturer service/maintenance visits. Spravato (Esketamine) Administration Administer Spravato treatment sessions in full compliance with the Spravato REMS program, including patient enrollment, monitoring, and Elements of Certification requirements. Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, sedation/dissociation level) pre-dose, at required intervals, and for the full post-dose observation window before physician sign-off for discharge. Maintain REMS-compliant documentation for every dosing session and support periodic REMS audits. Data Management & Outcomes Analysis Administer and log standardized outcome measures (PHQ-9, GAD-7, and other protocol-specified scales) at required treatment intervals. Maintain the interventional psychiatry treatment registry/database, ensuring session counts, response data, and adverse events are captured accurately and in real time. Generate periodic summary reports on treatment volume, response/remission rates, and authorization turnaround times for physician and practice leadership review. Support data integrity for quality reporting tied to payer contracts and, where applicable, manufacturer outcomes registries.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or healthcare-related certification preferred. Prior experience in a clinical, medical assistant, or behavioral health support role preferred. Current BLS/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain one; BLS training may be offered by the company. Strong attention to detail and comfort following precise, protocol-driven procedures. Comfortable working directly with psychiatric patients, including those in acute distress. Ability to consistently and reliably attend work on time; patient care depends on this position maintaining a dependable daily schedule.

Preferred:

Manufacturer-provided TMS certification (MagVenture) or willingness to complete certification upon hire. Experience with EMR documentation. Background as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), EEG/EKG technician, or similar allied health role.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during treatment sessions. Manual dexterity for precise equipment positioning and adjustment. Ability to respond quickly to patient safety events, including assisting a patient who becomes unsteady or unwell.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Compensation is commensurate with experience and certification. Benefits eligibility follows Hunter Clinics' standard policies for employees at this classification.
