ChRi Laboratories Position Summary:
ChRi Laboratories is seeking a skilled and motivated Analytical Scientist with hands-on experience in GC-MS and Agilent MassHunter software to support method development and validation for terpene analysis in cannabis and hemp matrices. This role will play a critical part in establishing robust, compliant analytical methods in support of regulatory and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, optimize, and validate GC-MS methods for terpene profiling in cannabis flower, concentrates, and infused products Operate and maintain GC-MS systems (Agilent preferred) using MassHunter software Perform method validation activities in accordance with applicable guidelines (e.g., accuracy, precision, linearity, LOD/LOQ, robustness) Prepare and analyze samples, standards, and quality control materials Troubleshoot instrumentation and analytical methods as needed Document all work in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and internal quality system requirements Support data review, reporting, and investigation of non-conformances or deviations Collaborate with QA and laboratory leadership to ensure compliance with state regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in an analytical laboratory setting Hands-on experience with GC-MS instrumentation Proficiency with Agilent MassHunter software strongly preferred Experience with method development and validation required Familiarity with cannabis testing regulations and matrices is a plus Strong attention to detail and data integrity principles Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory Knowledge of terpene chemistry and cannabis matrices Experience with trace-level analysis and complex sample preparation
