Job Description
About Us DentCare Now is an emergency first urgent dental care practice in Fairfax. Patients come to us in pain, often without an appointment, and often on a Sunday or a holiday when no one else is open. The pace is fast, the work is real, and the patients remember how you treated them. If you like a predictable hygiene schedule, this is not the role. If you like solving problems and moving, keep reading. What You Will Do Triage and patient flow Greet and seat patients, take and document vital signs, and record chief complaint and medical history updates Perform initial triage so the doctor walks into a room with the information already gathered Keep the board moving: track room status, anticipate the next step, and communicate wait times to patients and to the front desk Assist chairside as needed during procedures Sterilization and infection control Run the full instrument cycle: transport, cleaning, packaging, sterilizing, and storage Operate and monitor the ultrasonic, autoclave, and related equipment Complete and log biological and chemical monitoring on schedule Maintain OSHA and CDC infection control standards and keep documentation audit ready Operatory readiness Set up rooms with the correct trays and materials for each procedure Break down, disinfect, and turn over rooms quickly between patients Monitor and restock supplies, flag low inventory, and keep equipment maintained What We Are Looking For Dental assisting experience preferred [1 year] Current CPR/BLS certification Working knowledge of sterilization protocols and infection control Comfortable taking vitals and documenting accurately Calm under pressure with patients who are anxious or in pain Strong communicator who keeps the team informed instead of working in a silo Reliable. In urgent care, showing up on time is a clinical skill. Nice to Have Radiography credential Experience in urgent care, oral surgery, or a high volume practice Bilingual [Spanish or other] Familiarity with
