Job Description

Madison Veterinary Specialists is a growing 24/7 comprehensive, state of the art emergency, specialty and critical care facility that partners with family veterinarians to provide compassionate care to companion animals. MVS is seeking Pack and Prep Assistants to be part of our Surgery team. This person must possess good communication skills, great attention to detail, and be very dependable as this is an essential position on the surgery team. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Wash all surgical packs and instrument Turnover and set up surgery room Perform hospital cleaning duties such as restocking supplies and helping with end of day clean up Following standard procedures to sterilize equipment using autoclave and gas sterilization Adhering to current policies and procedures Follow OSHA standards, and other safety protocols and procedures put in place by MVS Perform other duties as assigned by the Hospital Administrator or Veterinarians. Requirements:
Education:
Completion of 4 years of high school or equivalent is required.
Physical:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work with an autoclave and gas sterilizer.
Ergonomic:
Must be capable of safely working in an environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials, infectious and zoonotic diseases
