A Landscaping or Grounds Supervisor supervises the staff that provide landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Supervises work to care for plants and trees, including mowing, trimming and planting, and work to repair driveways, walks, benches or other structures. Oversees equipment maintenance and transportation, and communicates with residential customers.

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Majestic Park On-site Manager assists the general manager, the assistant manager and the Park Superintendent in overseeing scheduled events at Majestic Park. Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) status:
Nonexempt, Hourly Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with Opening and Closing the park facilities including the concession stands. Serves as Manager on Duty when the General Manager, Assistant Manager and the Park Superintendent are off property. Follows guidelines and procedures that have been established for overseeing events. Assists with preparation for scheduled events. Professionally greets visitors and assures proper sign in of all visitors. Assists with overseeing facility staff. Supervises and provides direction to personnel. Maintains notes of disciplinary actions that need to be investigated. Develops a strong customer service rapport with visitors and potential customers. Performs other duties as assigned by management, which could include assisting in duties that are not typical to this position.
Minimum Experience, Skills or Education Required:
Excellent oral and written communications skills required. Must be able to coordinate with teams. Must be able to execute events. Must be able to create and maintain a healthy/productive workplace environment for employees. Must be able to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Must be able to respond promptly to on-site emergency calls. Must be able to plan and direct the work of others: must be able to determine or interpret work procedures for a group of volunteers, assigning specific duties to them, maintaining harmonious relations among them. A variety of responsibilities are involved in this function. Must have strong leadership, organizational, communication, human relations, and decision-making skills. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Must have reliable transportation, valid Arkansas driver's license and clean driving record. Must be able to deal with the general public, customers, volunteers, and employees with tact and courtesy. Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions. Must be able to use body members, hand tools and/or special devices to work, move or carry objects or materials.
Working Conditions:
The Majestic Park On-site Manager works mostly out of doors at the Majestic Park fields, but may be required to be in a concession stand environment. Works nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
Physical Demands:
Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Reaching. Handling, Fingering. Feeling. Talking. Hearing. Seeing. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
