A Landscaping or Grounds Supervisor supervises the staff that provide landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Supervises work to care for plants and trees, including mowing, trimming and planting, and work to repair driveways, walks, benches or other structures. Oversees equipment maintenance and transportation, and communicates with residential customers.

Job Description
Special Projects Foreman Pay:
$19.50-$27.00 an hourSummary of Job:
As a Special Projects Foreman, you will perform a variety of tasks focused on quality safety and efficiency. This position will allow you to work on various projects which include hardscape construction, painting, light irrigation, turf conversion, etc. Additionally, operate specialized equipment such as a tractor or skid steer, while managing their crew and perform other maintenance related tasks.Essential Functions:
- Scheduling crew activities
- Follow-up on crew activities, provide updates and information to supervisor
- Coordinate with alternate shift foreman on equipment changes and loads
- Coordinate service & repair requests from the field
- Knowledge and proper use of 2-cycle and heavy landscape equipment such as tractors and backhoe, etc.
- Irrigation experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and make independent judgments
- Must lead by example following DLC's core values (quality, efficiency, safety & teamwork).
Job Skills/Requirements:
2+ years of experience in:- Supervising/Leadership
- Masonry
- Hardscape/Landscape Construction
- Landscape Maintenance
- Basic English
- Arizona Driver License and clear MVR record
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- Able to lift 50 lbs. (Equipment, tools and supplies may need to be lifted, carried and/or pushed)
- Able to walk/stand for long periods of time
- Able to reach, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, squat, crouch and grasp along with repetitive movements may part of daily job duties
Environmental Factors:
- Contact with various plants, flowers and chemicals
- Must be able to work in summer and winter climates
