Andalusia Country Club is a premier private country club located in La Quinta, California with dramatic views of the nearby Santa Rosa Mountains is seeking a full-time Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. Andalusia Country Club was designed by Rees Jones and features expansive turf and landscape backdrops unique to golf in the Coachella Valley. A Greenside Bunker remodel project is scheduled for the summer of 2022 and a state-of-the-art pump station is slated for 2023. Assistants will be working from an excellent maintenance facility coupled with 34 full time employees and all the necessary equipment to produce a product that meets and exceeds our expectations. Andalusia's golfing season is 12 months with the main golf season going from November- May. During the summer months the staff remains busy with various capital improvements, cultural practices and various other golf course management duties. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the Golf Course Maintenance Department. Duties will include, but are not limited to, crew management, daily scheduling of irrigation and chemical applications, budget management and outside contractor management.

Requirements:

Qualified candidate must have completed or will complete in the near future a 2- or 4-year turf program/related certificate or degree, experience in spraying/irrigation is preferred but our team is willing to train the candidate as well. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.

Special Requirements:

Assistants will help to bridge the gap between the staff and senior management with effective communication, supervision and strong leadership skills. Must be willing to learn and grow, we are also looking for a self-motivated individual who has aspirations to become a Golf Course Superintendent. Assistants must possess a valid driver's license and be able to attain a CA pesticide license within 90 days.

Benefits:
