GreenScape Maintenance Services, Inc. is looking for an experienced Foreman to lead and coordinate our landscape maintenance crews throughout Southern California. The Foreman is the primary field leader responsible for making sure daily work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to Company quality standards . This is a hands-on leadership position requiring regular outdoor work, crew supervision, job-site coordination, and travel between properties. What You'll Do Crew Leadership & Daily Operations Lead and supervise assigned maintenance crews and Laborers. Conduct daily crew check-ins and assign tasks. Ensure crew members understand the scope of work and quality expectations. Monitor productivity and adjust assignments as needed. Provide on-the-job coaching and direction. Communicate attendance, performance, safety, and conduct concerns to management. Lead by example in safety, attendance, quality, professionalism, and customer service. Job-Site Coordination Review daily work orders, schedules, and job instructions. Ensure crews have the necessary tools, equipment, and materials. Coordinate daily work activities and sequence tasks efficiently. Monitor job progress and report delays or unexpected conditions. Identify site conditions that may affect safety, quality, or scheduling. Report additional work or enhancement opportunities to management. Coordinate with property representatives, clients, vendors, and other authorized parties as needed. Quality Control Inspect ongoing and completed work to ensure Company standards are met. Identify and correct incomplete or substandard work. Conduct routine inspections of assigned properties. Ensure job sites are clean and orderly. Verify required work is completed before leaving the property. Take job-site photos and complete required documentation. Communicate client or property-manager concerns to management. Safety & Compliance Enforce Company safety procedures at job sites. Conduct or assist with toolbox/tailgate safety meetings. Ensure proper PPE use. Identify and address unsafe practices and conditions. Report injuries, incidents, property damage, and near misses promptly. Follow applicable Cal/OSHA requirements and Company safety policies. Follow the Company's Heat Illness Prevention Plan and outdoor safety procedures. Equipment & Materials Ensure tools and equipment are available and properly maintained. Assist with vehicle and equipment inspections. Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment. Ensure proper use and care of Company vehicles, tools, equipment, and materials. Ensure materials are properly loaded, secured, transported, and stored. Landscape & Irrigation Operations Oversee routine landscape maintenance activities. Monitor irrigation systems and identify leaks, broken components, and controller issues. Assist with basic irrigation repairs within the crew's capabilities. Ensure proper mowing, edging, pruning, trimming, blowing, weeding, planting, and cleanup. Monitor landscape conditions and report significant issues. Communication & Customer Service Maintain professional communication with clients, property managers, HOA representatives, vendors, coworkers, and management. Respond professionally to questions and concerns within your authority. Escalate client complaints, additional-work requests, and significant issues to management. Maintain professional conduct while representing the Company at client properties. Qualifications Required Previous experience in landscaping, property maintenance, construction, or a related field. Previous experience leading or supervising field employees or crews. Strong understanding of landscape maintenance and field operations. Ability to assign tasks and provide clear direction to crew members. Ability to identify job-site, equipment, and safety issues. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work outdoors and perform physical field work. Ability to work safely around landscaping equipment, vehicles, and tools. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Preferred 2+ years of Crew Lead or Foreman experience. Experience supervising commercial or multifamily landscape maintenance crews. Irrigation experience. Knowledge of Southern California plant material and landscape maintenance. Experience with field service or scheduling software such as Aspire, LMN, or similar . Bilingual English/Spanish skills. Valid California driver's license. Experience working with property managers, HOAs, apartment communities, or commercial properties. QAL/QAC license or C-27 experience. Working Conditions Primarily outdoors at client properties and job sites. Regular exposure to heat, cold, dust, dirt, noise, uneven terrain, and landscaping equipment. Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. May require physical labor alongside crew members. May require travel between multiple client properties and job sites. May require early morning start times based on operational needs. Must follow all applicable safety procedures and use required PPE.
