Position Summary The Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader oversees the daily operations of a landscape maintenance crew, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This hands-on role combines crew leadership, landscape maintenance, irrigation management, and client communication to deliver exceptional service.
Reports To:
Maintenance Field Supervisor Key Responsibilities Lead, train, and supervise a landscape maintenance crew while promoting a safe, productive work environment. Perform and oversee pruning, planting, irrigation repair and programming, fertilization, lawn care, and general landscape maintenance. Plan daily work, manage equipment and vehicles, and ensure jobs are completed on schedule and to company standards. Monitor plant health, diagnose irrigation and landscape issues, and identify enhancement opportunities. Communicate with clients, supervisors, and internal teams regarding project progress and service needs. Complete required documentation, including time records, receipts, and incident reports. Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and operating procedures. Qualifications Required 3+ years of residential landscape maintenance experience, including crew leadership. Strong knowledge of pruning, irrigation systems, plant care, fertilization, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Experience operating landscape equipment and troubleshooting irrigation systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish). QWEL, CLIA, NALP, First Aid/CPR, or other industry certifications. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the day. Ability to safely operate landscape equipment and vehicles. #
