About the Role We are seeking an Irrigation Service Supervisor to lead in our Irrigation Department in Boulder, CO. In this exempt, salaried leadership position, you will work in coordination with the Department Manager to supervise multiple technicians, ensuring all contracted work is performed within budget and to our award-winning quality standards. You will serve as the primary bridge between management and field staff, acting as a mentor to achieve department goals. This role is a blend of hands-on technical work and high-level supervision, requiring someone who leads by example while driving sales and efficiency. Primary Responsibilities Team Leadership
  • Recruit, train, and manage Irrigation Technicians, ensuring they are meeting professional appearance and time-tracking standards. Operational Supervision
  • Direct technicians to meet safety guidelines, quality standards, and customer service goals. Technical Execution
  • Directly perform specialized work, including system evaluations, inspections, repairs, and upgrades. Performance Management
  • Participate in performance reviews, provide effective feedback, and lead safety talks. Resource Allocation
  • Collaborate with the Department Manager and administrative staff to ensure effective scheduling and labor allocation. Business Growth
  • Identify and process additional revenue and sales opportunities within the department. Equipment Stewardship
  • Ensure all tools and machinery are properly maintained and that equipment issues are reported to the Shop. Winter Operations
  • Lead snow removal crews and directly perform snow removal tasks as assigned. Irrigation Expertise
  • 5 years of experience in irrigation installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs is preferred. Leadership Background
  • 2 years of experience in Irrigation Service Supervision is preferred. Certification
  • Must obtain ASSE Backflow Testing Certification within 12 months (Company Paid). Driving Credentials
  • Valid Colorado Driver's License with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
Lifting Capacity:
Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs safely on your own, and greater weights with the assistance of a team member. Technical Proficiency
  • Proficient in standard irrigation practices and the use of required technology/mobile applications. Machinery Operation
  • Safe operation of skid loaders, trenchers, plows, and snow blowers without supervision. Physical Strength
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs safely on your own and up to 100 lbs with assistance. Mobility
  • Ability to stand and walk on uneven surfaces and maintain a full range of motion for bending, stooping, and squatting. Environmental Resilience
  • Capacity to work up to 10 hours a day in inclement weather and extreme temperatures. Communication
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus. Availability
  • Willingness to work Saturdays for weather make-up days and flexibility for early morning or evening snow removal shifts. Legal Status
