Job Description
Position:
Project ArchitectOverviewAn established architecture practice is seeking a licensed Project Architect to support the design, documentation, and execution of complex architectural projects. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who enjoys owning project details, guiding design intent through construction, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.The Project Architect will be responsible for translating conceptual design into coordinated construction documents, leading internal design efforts, and supporting project delivery from early design through construction administration. This individual should be technically strong, design-minded, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously.
A strong commitment to design quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement is essential, along with the ability to communicate clearly with clients, consultants, and internal project partners.
This position is best suited for candidates with 8-12 years of professional experience, advanced Revit expertise, and a background in multifamily and retail developments.

Core ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities may include:
Serving as a primary technical and design lead on assigned projectsCoordinating internal teams and external consultants to maintain alignment with project goalsManaging the development of accurate, coordinated design and construction documentsEnsuring projects are delivered in accordance with established scope, schedule, and budgetWorking closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to support project successApplying a strong working knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standardsExercising sound judgment when making design, technical, and documentation decisionsLeading production teams through all major project phasesSupporting project planning efforts, including budgeting and program development, as neededParticipating in internal reviews to maintain document quality and consistencyAssisting with construction-phase coordination, including RFIs, submittals, and site observationsMaintaining professional licensure and staying engaged with industry resourcesCollaborating across teams and studios as neededContributing positively to studio culture, knowledge sharing, and project outcomesQualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited programActive architectural licensure requiredMinimum of 8 years of professional architectural experienceDemonstrated success delivering complex projects from early design through constructionStrong technical knowledge of building systems, detailing, and documentation standardsAdvanced proficiency in Revit required; familiarity with additional Autodesk and cloud-based tools preferredExcellent organizational, communication, and coordination skillsProven ability to guide project teams and coordinate consultant contributionsLeadership & Team SupportThis role may include oversight of architectural staff and designers. Responsibilities may involve mentoring, task delegation, schedule management, performance feedback, and supporting team development in alignment with project needs and firm standards.
CompensationThe anticipated salary range for this role is $90,000-$115,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
Work Environment & Physical RequirementsPredominantly office-based role with extended periods of seated workAbility to move throughout the office and attend meetingsParticipation in site visits as requiredAbility to lift up to 20 pounds with or without assistanceOccasional travel to project sites or meetings
