Waldorf Astoria Orlando is looking for a 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join the Agronomy Team! Surrounded by Walt Disney Resort, this luxurious Forbes 4-Star property has 502 rooms, 30,000 square feet of banquet space, and 7 food and beverage outlets. As a 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent , and overall management of the hotel's golf course - you're spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest. Here's what you'll do during a typical day: Oversee daily course maintenance: Assist in managing golf course and practice area upkeep, including irrigation systems, maintenance facilities, restrooms, natural landscapes, and other designated property areas Supervise projects and inspections: Oversee minor construction projects, facility inspections, and equipment maintenance to ensure high-quality course conditions Optimize turf health: Track irrigation performance, diagnose turf issues related to pests, weeds, and diseases, and recommend corrective actions Assist with budgeting and planning: Contribute to annual maintenance and capital improvement budgeting, helping to prioritize needs and allocate resources efficiently Maintain accurate records: Keep detailed documentation of maintenance activities, inventory, pesticide use, weather data, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations Act as the Superintendent delegate: Serve as the department leader in the Superintendent's absence, ensuring continuity of operations and standards Cultivate a high-performing team: Recruit new talent while driving team growth through performance management, professional development, and recognition programs
