Job Description

Working Foreman / Supervisor We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Working Foreman / Supervisor to oversee a landscaping crew and ensure all assigned properties are completed properly, efficiently, and to a high standard. The Working Foreman / Supervisor will be responsible for running the crew in the field while actively working alongside them, including mowing, assigning tasks, supervising employees, and making sure everyone is doing their job correctly. This person must be able to lead by example, maintain productivity, hold the crew accountable, and take ownership of the overall quality and completion of the route.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead and supervise a landscaping crew on a daily route
  • Work alongside the crew and actively perform landscaping duties, including mowing
  • Assign responsibilities and make sure each crew member understands their tasks
  • Monitor the crew throughout the day to ensure work is being completed correctly and efficiently
  • Inspect completed work and make sure properties meet company quality standards
  • Ensure trimming, edging, blowing, cleanup, mowing, and other landscaping services are performed properly
  • Keep the crew on schedule and make sure all assigned properties are completed on time
  • Make sure each property is completed properly before leaving the site
  • Address problems or poor-quality work immediately and ensure they are corrected
  • Use strong problem-solving skills to handle issues that arise in the field and find practical solutions
  • Communicate with the owner regarding all important matters, including equipment issues, employee concerns, property issues, customer concerns, scheduling problems, and any other issues that affect the route or business
  • Provide the owner with daily reports and updates on the day's work, including completed properties, problems encountered, equipment issues, and anything that needs attention
  • Provide clear feedback to the owner regarding the crew, route, productivity, and overall day-to-day operations
  • Train, direct, and provide feedback to crew members to maintain company standards
  • Hold crew members accountable for their responsibilities and the quality of their work
  • Follow company standards, procedures, and safety requirements
  • Maintain equipment and report any equipment problems or maintenance needs promptly
  • Take ownership of the route and ensure the crew operates efficiently and professionally
Requirements:
  • Previous landscaping or lawn-care experience required
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a crew is strongly preferred
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must maintain a clean driving record
  • A driver's license and driving record will be checked and verified prior to employment being finalized. Employment is contingent upon verification of a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

  • Must be dependable and capable of managing the day-to-day responsibilities of a landscaping route We are looking for someone experienced, responsible, hardworking, and detail-oriented who can take ownership of their route, lead by example, and effectively delegate work to other employees.
This is a working foreman position — you will be expected to actively work alongside the crew while also supervising, directing, problem-solving, and ensuring the entire crew performs to company standards. The right person will be someone the owner can trust to run the route, manage the crew, communicate issues, and make sure the job gets done right every day.
