Full Job Description Job Summary:
As a Lawn Service Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our lawn maintenance crews. You will ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a thorough understanding of lawn care techniques.Responsibilities:
1. Lead and supervise a team of lawn service technicians. 2. Assign tasks to crew members and ensure they understand their responsibilities. 3. Conduct training sessions to educate crew members on proper lawn care techniques, equipment usage, and safety procedures. 4. Schedule and coordinate daily work assignments, ensuring timely completion of all tasks. 5. Inspect lawns to assess maintenance needs and provide guidance to crew members on required services. 6. Operate and maintain lawn care equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and edgers. 7. Monitor inventory levels of supplies and equipment, and coordinate replenishment as needed. 8. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards. 9. Communicate with clients to address any concerns, provide updates on service schedules, and ensure customer satisfaction. 10. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including hours worked, materials used, and client feedback.Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in horticulture or landscaping is preferred. 2. Proven experience in lawn care or landscaping, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience. 3. Strong knowledge of lawn care techniques, plant identification, and pest management. 4. Ability to operate and maintain lawn care equipment safely and effectively. 5. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members. 6. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members. 7. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. 8. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. 2. Stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and sunlight. 3. Mobility to traverse uneven terrain and operate equipment safely.Working Conditions:
1. Work primarily outdoors, with exposure to environmental elements and noise from equipment. 2. May require occasional weekend or evening work to meet client needs or address emergencies.Note:
