Our company is experiencing significant growth and this is an entry level position that possesses advancement opportunity. Duties
  • Assists the Golf Course Superintendent in managing all phases of golf course maintenance.
  • Oversees and participates in all fertility and plant protectant programs, irrigation installation and repairs.
  • Assists with planning, scheduling, instructing, training, and directing crew in the performance of golf course maintenance procedures and job responsibilities.
  • Performs checks of processes throughout the day.
  • Oversees chemical and fertilizer applications and assists as necessary.
  • Advises Superintendent of course conditions.
  • Oversees cleanup and storage of tools and equipment at the end of the shift.
  • Advises the Superintendent of all performance issues and enforces of performance standards.
  • Assumes management responsibilities as needed in the absence of the Superintendent.
  • Communicates with players, co-workers, management and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Exhibits and maintains a professional demeanor to reflect a positive image.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent. Educational Requirements
  • Associate's degree (A.S.) in Agronomy or Horticulture - Desired a minimum of two years related experience and/or equivalent combination for related education and experience.
  • Previous management experience required.
  • Acquire State of Georfia Commercial Applicator license in Ornamental and Turf within six months of employment.
  • GCSAA membership.
  • Valid Georgia driver license and a good driving record. Job Benefits
