LEAD GROUNDS ATTENDANT POSITION SUMMARY
The Georgia World Congress Center is currently seeking a Lead Grounds Attendant to join our team. The Lead Grounds Attendant shall maintain grounds of the Georgia World Congress Center, be responsible for supervising the day to day activities for the cleaning and maintenance program for the exterior grounds, parking lots, and decks to include but not limited to: removal of bulk trash, removal of snow and ice, distribution of equipment, preventive maintenance on gutter troughs, monitoring performance of personnel, and such other duties and functions as required by the Grounds Manager.
LEAD GROUNDS ATTENDANT PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is moderately exposed to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. The ability to lift 50 pounds or more may be required of this position. Daily shifts will endure various degrees of walking, standing, turning, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, pushing and pulling, requiring a full range of body movements. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
LEAD GROUNDS ATTENDANT ESSENTIAL
DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and assist Grounds Attendants in the completion of shift assignments as required Inspect exterior grounds, parking lots, and parking decks daily Monitor and inspect the work of exterior plant and landscaping maintenance contractors. Notify Grounds Manager of building services about any discrepancies Inspect equipment on a routine basis and notify the Grounds Manager of equipment requiring repair or replacement Notify Grounds Manager of supplies requiring replenishment Counsel Grounds Attendants as required Implement basic safety procedures during daily routine Monitor facility entrances and floor areas during adverse weather conditions Assist shift personnel as required Such other duties, functions, special projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the Grounds Manager.

High degree of integrity and compliance Thoroughness in task approach, follow-up and completion Self-awareness Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload using own initiative Ability to multi-task & work under pressure with limited resources Detail oriented Assess, weigh and manage risk in the face of uncertainty Ability to organize, prioritize and assign work to ensure that the highest quality of customer service is provided to our customers, both internal and external. Ability to work an irregular work schedule as required to perform duties and responsibilities
LEAD GROUNDS ATTENDANT
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Valid driver's license required A Minimum of three (3) years experience as a Grounds Attendant for a public facility or comparable private complex is required Experience in providing customer service directly to customers preferred Multi-lingual a plus
