This is a hands-on position for someone with experience in landscape planting and hardscape installation who takes pride in quality work and enjoys working outdoors. Pay will be based on experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Install trees, shrubs, perennials, sod, mulch, soil, and other landscape materials. Perform and assist with hardscape installation including pavers, retaining walls, stonework, edging, and related landscape construction. Prepare planting beds and project areas through excavation, grading, soil preparation, and final detailing. Assist with drainage, irrigation, and landscape lighting installation as needed. Load, unload, move, and stage plants, materials, tools, and equipment. Safely operate hand and power tools used in landscape construction. Follow project plans, layouts, and direction from the Crew Leader or Landscape Manager. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite and properly care for company tools and materials. Work with the crew to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous hands-on landscape installation experience, including planting trees, shrubs, and other plant material. Previous hardscape installation or construction experience, such as pavers, retaining walls, stonework, or similar work. Dependable with consistent attendance and a strong work ethic. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Ability to safely use common landscape and construction hand and power tools. Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work, including routinely lifting and carrying approximately 50 lbs. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
