Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to keep grounds pristine and healthy. Operate a variety of grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment such as power tools, lawn mowers, excavators, and irrigation systems with precision and safety. Identify different plant species and assess their health needs; apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides following proper management protocols. Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering efficiency across diverse landscapes. Execute hardscape projects involving the installation of pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures. Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, planting, and removal while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with snow plowing and winter maintenance tasks during seasonal changes to ensure safe outdoor environments year-round. Qualifications Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices. Mechanical knowledge related to groundskeeping equipment operation including power tools, lawn mowers, excavators, and irrigation systems. Familiarity with horticulture principles, plant identification, and garden management techniques. Ability to operate grounds maintenance machinery safely while following all safety protocols. Knowledge of pesticide management practices and environmental safety standards. Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is a plus. Excellent physical stamina for lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and performing physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
