A Landscaping or Grounds Supervisor supervises the staff that provide landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Supervises work to care for plants and trees, including mowing, trimming and planting, and work to repair driveways, walks, benches or other structures. Oversees equipment maintenance and transportation, and communicates with residential customers.

Job Description
- Full-time opportunity
- Located in Sioux City, IA
- Leadership role with a variety of indoor and outdoor responsibilities
- Some early mornings, weekends, and seasonal on-call availability may be required Responsibilities Landscape & Grounds Maintenance
- Oversee mowing, trimming, fertilization, irrigation, and seasonal landscaping programs
- Monitor the health of lawns, trees, shrubs, and plants
- Identify and treat weeds, pests, diseases, and other landscape concerns
- Maintain walking paths, wooded areas, and landscaped spaces
- Coordinate seasonal clean-up, tree planting, snow removal, and winterization Irrigation & Equipment
- Manage and maintain irrigation systems
- Schedule watering based on weather and seasonal conditions
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, tractors, trimmers, blowers, and sprayers
- Perform preventative maintenance and coordinate repairs when needed Leadership & Planning
- Supervise and train groundskeeping staff
- Schedule daily work and oversee department operations
- Manage landscaping budgets and track expenses
- Maintain landscaping records and seasonal maintenance plans
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or turf management required
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, plant health, fertilizers, and pest management
- Basic mechanical skills and equipment maintenance experience
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and basic computer software
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related field is preferred
