Position Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable, motivated, and hands-on Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our garden center. The ideal candidate is passionate about plants, enjoys working outside, and leads by example with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence. We are looking for a full time employee to work 30 hours on average, with up to 40 hours seasonally in the spring.

Key Responsibilities:

Routine inventory counts Restock merchendise Routine plant maintenance including watering, pruning, fertilizing and pest monitoring Assisting customers with plant care recommendations Operate registers Receive incoming plant shipments

Qualifications:

Basic plant knowledge is preferred, with the ability to identify, care for, and monitor plant health. Previous experience in landscaping, grounds keeping, or property maintenance is preferred. Strong leadership skills. Strong organizational and communication skills. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Reliable means of transportation. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40lbs.
