A Landscaping or Grounds Supervisor supervises the staff that provide landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Supervises work to care for plants and trees, including mowing, trimming and planting, and work to repair driveways, walks, benches or other structures. Oversees equipment maintenance and transportation, and communicates with residential customers.

Job Description
Job Responsibilities & Duties Leadership & Crew Management Enforce all job-site safety regulations Transport crew, equipment, and materials to and from job sites Assign tasks, train crew members, and monitor performance Maintain daily timesheets, absence reports, and material usage records Communicate job progress, crew needs, and issues to the Project Manager Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades as needed Operate and perform basic maintenance on company vehicles and equipment Landscape Installation Perform ground preparation and fine grading for landscaped areas Install plant material correctly (depth, spacing, placement) Apply mulch by material type Establish new bed edges and define landscape boundaries Water and maintain plant material during installation Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Hardscape Installation Install pavers, retaining walls, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, and other hardscape features Grade, prep, and compact base materials for hardscape work Equipment Operation & Maintenance Operate skid steers, mini excavators, chainsaws, sod cutters, brick saws, hedge trimmers, and other tools Safely load/unload equipment from trucks and trailers Wash, grease, and maintain equipment daily Skills & Qualifications Required Proven leadership ability Landscape installation experience Strong work ethic — responsible, honest, dependable Ability to follow directions and manage time effectively Valid Driver's License Strong communication and record-keeping skills Physically able to lift 50 lbs., walk long distances, bend/kneel for extended periods Comfortable working outdoors in extreme weather conditions Preferred Hardscape installation experience Plant identification & basic horticultural knowledge Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, and power tools Basic mechanical ability for simple repairs Landscape Workshop is urgently hiring for a landscape foreman to join their landscaping crews in the Gretna, LA area!
