Position Summary:

The Landscaping Supervisor is a hands-on leader responsible for overseeing the landscaping team and maintaining the quality and appearance of company grounds year-round. This role performs landscaping and groundskeeping work alongside the team while coordinating daily operations and scheduling for mowing, gardening, trimming, seasonal cleanups, and winter plowing and snow removal. The Supervisor also oversees fleet and equipment maintenance and ensures completed jobs are accurately recorded for billing. This position requires strong leadership, organization, communication, and a commitment to quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the landscaping team to ensure efficient and high-quality completion of all assigned tasks.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily schedules for mowing, trimming, planting, snow removal, and other landscaping activities.
• Monitor and maintain the condition of company vehicles, trailers, and landscaping equipment to ensure safety and reliability.
• Perform routine inspections of job sites to ensure standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction are met.
• Provide hands-on assistance with landscaping tasks as needed, including seasonal cleanups and snow removal operations.
• Ensure all work orders and completed jobs are accurately logged in the billing software daily for proper invoicing.
• Train and mentor landscaping staff on equipment use, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Manage materials inventory and coordinate supply orders to ensure teams are properly equipped.
• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and company guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with management, team members, and clients to resolve issues and maintain strong relationships.
• Support cross-departmental collaboration and contribute to process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Demands:

This position requires frequent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating equipment for extended periods. Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly. Work is primarily outdoors and subject to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and snow. Requires manual dexterity, stamina, and the ability to safely operate landscaping tools and machinery. May require driving company vehicles and performing on-site work across multiple properties.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related field, including supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams.
• Strong skills in landscaping practices, seasonal plant care, snow and ice management, and the safe operation and maintenance of landscaping and snow removal equipment.
• Ability to identify and resolve operational challenges efficiently and professionally.
• Proficiency with scheduling, reporting, and job tracking software preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required; ability to operate trucks and trailers preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism in all work performed.

Pay:

$29.00 - $33.00 per hour
