Position Summary:
Blake's is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Grounds Manager to support day-to-day operations with a primary focus on grounds beautification and flexible farm operations support. This role will be instrumental in managing labor efficiency and maintaining high standards for customer-facing areas. Additionally, this role will serve as a safety and security champion across Blake's family of companies, helping promote a safe, secure, and compliant working environment. Grounds Upkeep & Farm Beautification Ensure all customer-facing areas—including lawns, orchards, fields, pathways, and event zones—are maintained to a "show-ready" standard at all times. Lead, schedule, and optimize groundskeeping and beautification crews for maximum efficiency and minimal cost. Implement proactive maintenance routines for lawn care, landscaping, and public spaces, with a focus on seasonal needs and event readiness. Ensure Daily Walkthrough is complete, and Daily log has been completed Safety & Security Champion Act as the safety and security lead for the farm team and broader Blake's family of companies. Support, reinforce, and help implement company-wide safety initiatives, including trainings, inspections, and emergency preparedness. Promote best practices in equipment operation, facility access, and property security. Monitor and respond to safety or security concerns across all farm-related properties.Requirements:
Familiarity with farm equipment Experience managing crews and scheduling labor efficiently Working knowledge of grounds maintenance and landscaping standards Familiarity with workplace safety programs and OSHA guidelines Ability to track and analyze costs and make data-driven decisions Valid driver's license and ability to operate agricultural machinery safely CDL and/or pesticide application license is a plus Some Weekend work will be requiredSimilar jobs in Armada, MI
