Position Overview:
We are looking for a Landscape Foreman with a minimum of 3 years of hardscape experience to lead a team in executing high-quality outdoor living projects. As a Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on job sites, ensuring the completion of projects on time, and maintaining the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hardscaping, a passion for landscaping, and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise landscape and hardscape crews on job sites, ensuring tasks are completed to specification and within set timelines. Oversee installation of hardscapes (e.g., patios, retaining walls, walkways, driveways) and softscapes (e.g., planting, turf) according to design plans. Ensure the efficient and safe operation of tools, equipment, and machinery. Provide training and mentorship to crew members, fostering a positive work environment. Communicate effectively with clients and project managers to ensure project goals are met. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used on job sites. Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of hardscape installation experience (including experience with pavers, stonework, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures). Proven leadership skills with experience managing a crew of 1-3 employees. Knowledge of landscaping principles, design, and installation practices. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Willingness to learn, retain, and share knowledge. Understanding of plants, growth rates, horticultural and landscaping practices. Proficiency in hardscape installation. Record and submit daily times and categories for billing. Knowledge of various power tools. Proficiency in operating truck and trailers. CDL is a plus. Proper maintenance of tools and equipment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Proficiency with skid loader operation. Experience with excavators and other equipment. Why Join Us?
