Job Description
Position Overview:
The Public Areas Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the upkeep of those area encompassed by the Public Areas Team (including but not limited to bathrooms, large floor surfaces, garbage, hallways). The role ensures the Public Areas staff meets all property expectations for the position. The supervisor ensures the completion of all assigned projects. Further, the role must develop/mentor/hold accountable all staff members on the team.Duties & Responsibilities:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Plan upcoming projects/repairs, and try to eliminate issues prior to the start of projectsEvaluates work orders, organizes and assigns themMaintains a strong relationship with all other departments to make sure communication is seamlessAmong other areas of responsibilities, must oversee carpet & window cleaningMust schedule to business, maximizing labor efficienciesResponsible for training and evaluating all employeesCoordinates/assigns daily job lists for employeesResponsible for ensuring team is properly trained in all aspects of dutiesInspects work done by teamGenerates written work orders and prepared detailed time sheet & recordsMaintains safe work habits and uses all safety precautions recommended for each tool or machineryOther duties may be assignedMaintain flexible schedule and be willing to back fill gaps in schedule coverageResponsible for cleaning carpet and windowsResponsible for managing and tracking inventoryMust learn to produce schedules and approve time records
Job Requirements:
Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and ability to work flexible hoursDetail-orientation and understanding of the need to maintain high level of cleanliness/visual beauty of propertyBasic computer knowledge primarily for scheduling or payrollThe position requires the ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally.This position requires the ability to stand, walk (6-7 hours at a time), and climb stairs, reach & bend. The position requires that the employee be able to read basic chemical labels and write in complete sentences in submitting reports and assessments.
