Job Description

As the Assistant Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Superintendent lead and oversee the golf maintenance crew, ensuring overall success in all areas of golf course maintenance. Your strong irrigation experience will be essential as you help supervise the team. Working closely with the Superintendent, you will help develop and implement irrigation schedules, monitor water usage, and oversee system repairs and adjustments. Your knowledge of spray applications will also be utilized to ensure proper chemical applications for turf health. Additionally, you will assist in training crew members in the best irrigation practices, operating skills and safety training. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate for this position will have a deep understanding of irrigation systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. Experience in leading a maintenance crew and familiarity with spray equipment and chemical applications are essential. A passion for turf management and a proactive approach to problem-solving are highly valued in this role. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are key attributes for success in this position.
