We are seeking an energetic, dedicated Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our agronomic leadership team. Working directly alongside the Golf Course Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent will play a critical hands-on role in managing daily maintenance operations, fine-tuning pristine playing conditions on freshly restored turf, and executing detailed plant protection, moisture management, and staff management programs. Key Responsibilities

Agronomic Operations:

Assist in the daily maintenance of greens, fairways, tees, and surrounds. Help execute chemical and fertilizer application schedules, soil sampling, and moisture management.

Water Management:

Manage irrigation scheduling, operate state-of-the-art irrigation central control systems, perform field repairs, and handle hand-watering as required.

•

Crew Leadership & Supervision:

Lead, train, and motivate daily maintenance staff in safe and efficient equipment operation, turf practices, and course presentation.

•

Equipment & Calibration:

Safely operate all course maintenance equipment and perform routine sprayer/spreader calibrations.

•

Project Management:

Oversee ongoing detailed turf grow-in management, landscape enhancements, and specialized agronomic projects post-renovation. Qualifications & Requirements

•

Education:

Degree or Certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field (or equivalent practical industry experience).

•

Experience:

Minimum 2-3 years of golf course maintenance experience, with prior leadership or spray technician experience preferred.

•

Licensing:

Active Missouri Pesticide Applicator License (or ability to acquire within 90 days of hire).

•

Technical Skills:

Solid knowledge of turfgrass cultural practices, chemical application methods, and modern irrigation systems.

•

Work Ethic:

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by weather or events. Compensation & Benefits
