Full Job Description Overview:

As an Irrigation Manager, you will oversee all aspects of commercial and residential irrigation systems. Your responsibilities include scheduling, training the Irrigation/Lighting Team, and managing system activations, winterizations, repair calls, and backflow prevention tests.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance:

Ensure all work meets high standards and exceeds customer expectations.

Team Management:

Hire and fire field team members. Manage work schedules, crew departures and arrivals, and approve daily timesheets and payroll.

Communication:

Maintain proactive communication and positive relationships with the Account Management Team.

Customer Relations:

Conduct welcome visits to new clients and follow up on leads and referrals to ensure clients have all necessary information.

Client Relations:

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, promoting excellent customer service, integrity, and professionalism.

Vendor Coordination:

Work with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials needed for jobs.

Department Coordination:

Collaborate with the Director of Maintenance to plan and achieve departmental goals efficiently.

Meeting Participation:

Attend company and departmental meetings as required. Represent the company at industry events to stay updated on trends and new products.

Weather Adaptability:

Manage scheduled work and teams in various weather conditions, including occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications:

Ability to manage the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems and drainage, including reading architectural drawings and proposal documents. Basic knowledge of landscape maintenance and design. Strong time management and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and industry-related software such as Aspire, Google Earth, and Outlook. Valid Driver's License (MO Class E). State and/or St. Louis County Backflow Prevention Certification preferred but not required.

Required Experience:

Degree or certificate in Landscape, Horticulture, or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in irrigation installation, management, with a focus on customer service and water management solutions. Advanced knowledge of irrigation operations, including grading, trenching, drainage, lighting, and 2-wire systems.

Preferred Experience:

1 year of retail management experience. 1 year of relevant experience. High school diploma or equivalent.
