The Grounds Guys is looking for an experienced, motivated Irrigation & Landscape Team Lead who is ready to take the next step in their career. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who knows landscaping and irrigation, takes pride in quality work, and can keep a crew organized and productive. You'll work alongside the team in the field while helping manage job quality, schedules, equipment, productivity, and customer satisfaction. As our company continues to grow, there will be opportunities for the right person to grow into a higher-level leadership role. What You'll Do As an Irrigation & Landscape Team Lead, you will: Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain irrigation systems, including sprinkler heads, valves, controllers, piping, and related components. Lead and work alongside landscape crews to complete jobs safely, efficiently, and to our quality standards. Perform and oversee landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, planting, fertilizing, weed control, and mulching. Assist with landscape installation, grading, drainage, hardscape, and other outdoor construction projects as needed. Operate landscaping and construction equipment, including mowers, trimmers, power tools, hand tools, and track loaders or similar equipment. Walk job sites and perform quality-control checks to ensure work is completed correctly before leaving the property. Help organize daily routes, schedules, crews, equipment, and job-site needs. Monitor budgeted vs. actual labor hours and help keep jobs productive and profitable. Train and support crew members while holding the team accountable for safety, productivity, attendance, and quality. Identify irrigation issues, plant health concerns, weeds, pests, and other landscape problems and recommend appropriate solutions. Ensure equipment is properly maintained and ready for the next workday. Communicate professionally with customers and help resolve concerns before they become larger issues. Follow all company safety procedures and applicable pesticide, equipment, and environmental regulations. Make sure the team is organized, jobs are completed, and everything is prepared for the following day. What We're Looking For We want someone who takes ownership of their work and understands that being a Team Lead means more than simply completing a job. You may be a great fit if: You have previous experience in landscaping, irrigation, grading, hardscaping, grounds maintenance, or a similar field . You have experience troubleshooting and repairing irrigation systems. You have experience operating a track loader or similar equipment. You understand landscape maintenance and basic horticultural practices. You are comfortable leading and training crew members. You can keep a team organized and productive while still working alongside them. You understand the importance of completing jobs within budgeted labor hours. You take pride in quality control and want the job done correctly the first time. You communicate well with both customers and employees. You can identify problems in the field and find solutions without needing constant direction. You are dependable and understand that leadership starts with showing up and setting the example. You are comfortable working outdoors in a physically demanding environment. Minimum Requirements Valid driver's license Clean driving history Previous professional landscaping, irrigation, grading, or related field experience Irrigation troubleshooting and repair experience Ability to safely operate landscaping tools and equipment Grading and/or track loader experience preferred Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in the heat for long hours.
