Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Golf Course Superintendent and lead the maintenance and enhancement of our premier golf course. This vital role combines expert landscape management with inspiring leadership to ensure the course remains in pristine condition, providing an exceptional experience for players and visitors alike. As a key steward of the course's beauty and playability, you will oversee all aspects of turf care, landscaping, irrigation, tree care, and construction projects, fostering a vibrant and sustainable environment. Your passion for horticulture and landscaping will drive continuous improvement, ensuring the course's reputation for excellence endures. Duties Oversee daily golf course maintenance operations, including turf management, lawn care, landscaping, and gardening to maintain optimal playing conditions. Supervise a team of groundskeepers and maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a motivated workforce. Manage irrigation systems to ensure efficient water use while maintaining healthy turf and plant life across the course. Coordinate construction projects such as bunker renovations, pathway installations, or landscape enhancements with contractors and internal teams. Implement tree care practices including pruning, removal, and health assessments to promote safety and aesthetic appeal. Develop and execute maintenance schedules that incorporate horticulture best practices and sustainable landscaping techniques. Monitor weather conditions and adjust maintenance routines accordingly to preserve course quality in all seasons. Qualifications Proven experience in golf course management with supervising experience preferred. Strong knowledge of turfgrass science, lawn care techniques, horticulture principles, and irrigation systems. Hands-on experience with construction projects related to groundskeeping or landscaping is highly desirable. Familiarity with tree care practices including pruning, disease management, and safety protocols. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering a collaborative environment. Knowledge of gardening techniques and sustainable landscaping practices that promote environmental stewardship. Excellent organizational skills to develop maintenance plans and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Pay:
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
