A Landscaping or Grounds Supervisor supervises the staff that provide landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Supervises work to care for plants and trees, including mowing, trimming and planting, and work to repair driveways, walks, benches or other structures. Oversees equipment maintenance and transportation, and communicates with residential customers.

Job Description
- 70,000 Based on experience & work output.
- Trains all crew members on correct operation of mowers, power equipment, and hand tools, as well as appropriate landscaping technique.
- Assigns landscaping and maintenance tasks to crew members according to approved job sequencing plans and supervises/follow-up to ensure satisfactory completion.
- Performs mowing, trimming, weeding, pruning, edging, and blowing as specified in the job plan.
- Lead crews on enhancement or landscape construction projects including securing appropriate supplies, equipment, and other materials as specified in proposal.
- Provides real-time coaching to crew members and schedules and conducts periodic performance reviews.
- Ensures that all crew members wear the correct uniform every day: dark blue work pants, steeled toed shoes, company provided shirt & hat.
- Provides wage and compensation recommendations to Owner for crew members; quickly raises any disciplinary or terminable oEense with Owner for review/action. Safety and Equipment Maintenance
- Maintains and promotes safe working conditions in the field and follows company procedures on discipline if any safety rules are broken.
- Make sure crews utilizes the appropriate personal protective equipment
- yellow safety vests and steeled toed shoes are mandatory.
- Develop, supervise, and track execution of regularly scheduled maintenance plans and procedures to ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
- Is accountable for neglect and abuse of assigned equipment; promptly notifies Owner of any maintenance or equipment issues.
- Provide regular, weekly safety tailgate meetings for crew members and fill out Reports of Safety Meetings to keep on file. Labor/Materials Management and Efficiency
- Identify opportunities to improve onsite sequencing of jobs to maximize Efficiency while still providing best in class service/results.
- Develop and review job sequencing plans in consultation with Owner and with the benefit of U.S. Lawns training; implement and optimize approved plans.
- Learn how to use LMN Crew app and use the app to track jobs, scheduling, and crew member hours.
- Ensure all materials and supplies are ready and organized prior to morning dispatch
- this includes gas, 2-Cycle fuel, and drinking water.
- Track labor costs for each job and compare them to the budget regularly with the Owner. Leadership, Support, and Sales
- Meet with Owner weekly to review and discuss operations, personnel, and budget.
- Provide timely feedback on proposal estimates as requested
- landscape maintenance, enhancement projects, and snow.
- Assist Owner with crew recruiting efforts. Required Experience
- 3+ years' experience as a Crew Leader with a large, reputable landscaping company that focuses on commercial clients.
- Significant experience working on large commercial properties including apartment communities, HOAs, and hotels.
- Demonstrated experience developing job work plans that improve crew efficiency and improve results.
- The Production Manager shall possess a valid state driver's license appropriate to the class and capability of the vehicle they are assigned to operate.
