- Hardscape & Landscape Construction Position Summary The Foreman is responsible for leading a small crew to safely complete hardscape and landscape projects on schedule and to company quality standards.
This position requires someone who leads by example, communicates professionally, solves problems independently, and takes ownership of every job from start to finish. The right candidate will posessa working knowledge of hardscape installation and Industry standard best practices. Primary Responsibilities Lead a crew of 2-4 employees on residential projects. Report daily to company owner on project status and turn in detailed logs of work performed daily Read plans, measurements, and layouts accurately. Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Delegate tasks and keep the crew productive throughout the day. Operate equipment including skid steers, mini excavators, compact loaders, and compactors. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site. Communicate with customers respectfully and professionally when needed. Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues. Verify material quantities and notify management before supplies run low. Train new employees and help develop their skills. Complete work to company and industry quality standards without constant supervision. Role Expectations The Foreman is expected to: Arrive on time or early every day and have the crew ready to work at the scheduled start time. Lead by example through work ethic, professionalism, and attitude. Complete assigned work within the agreed timeline whenever reasonably possible. Maintain accountability for crew productivity throughout the day. Solve problems independently and use critical thinking skills to solve jobsite challenges. Protect company equipment, tools, and materials. Keep accurate records of hours, materials, and daily progress. Promote teamwork while maintaining discipline and professionalism. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of hardscape or landscape construction experience. Previous crew leadership or foreman experience preferred. Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Ability to lift 80 lbs repeatedly. Experience installing retaining walls, patios, walkways, drainage, grading, and outdoor living spaces. Ability to operate construction equipment safely. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to make decisions and work without constant supervision. Success in This Position A successful
