Irrigation Operations ManagerLocation:

Full-Time, On-SiteOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Irrigation Operations Manager to lead, grow, and build an established irrigation department.

This is not a maintenance management position. It is an opportunity to take ownership of a business within a business.

Education/ExperienceExtensive experience in irrigation installation, repair, and troubleshooting.

Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing teams.

Experience growing an irrigation service business or department is highly preferred.

Experience meeting with customers, preparing proposals, and developing business opportunities.

Experience managing project scheduling, labor, equipment, materials, and billing.

Experience with Weathermatic SmartLink or other smart irrigation platforms is a plus.

Experience with Aspire software is a plus.

Irrigation certifications are preferred.

Skills/KnowledgeStrong leadership and team development skills.

Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think like a business owner.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.

Ability to identify problems and recommend effective irrigation solutions.

Comfortable using computers, tablets, mobile applications, and business software.

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.

Results-driven with a focus on accountability and continuous improvement.

ResponsibilitiesDepartment LeadershipRecruit, hire, train, coach, and develop a high-performing irrigation team.

Build systems, processes, and a culture that supports long-term growth.

Foster an environment where employees take ownership and deliver exceptional work.

Business DevelopmentDevelop and execute strategies to expand irrigation services.

Identify opportunities within existing customer accounts and establish new client relationships.

Meet with customers to diagnose irrigation challenges and recommend appropriate solutions.

Prepare proposals and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to drive profitable growth.

Operations ManagementOversee the day-to-day operations of the irrigation department.

Ensure projects are scheduled efficiently and completed with high quality.

Manage labor, equipment, materials, project documentation, proposals, and billing.

Monitor key performance indicators and implement improvements to department performance.

Technology & Process ImprovementBecome proficient with company operating systems and mobile technology.

Lead the implementation and utilization of smart irrigation platforms.

Leverage technology to improve customer service, water management, communication, and operational efficiency.
