Supervises work to care for plants and trees, including mowing, trimming and planting, and work to repair driveways, walks, benches or other structures. Oversees equipment maintenance and transportation, and communicates with residential customers.

Job Description

Pinestraw Place Landscape Supply, Lexington, SC. In business since 2010. We're looking for someone who wants to run and improve a real operation. Four earned raises in your first 90 days, totaling up to 20% over your starting pay. This is the Landscape Supply counter, yard, and crew: pine straw, mulch, sod, stone, soil, firewood, hardscape material, and propane, moving through your hands daily. You report directly to the owner, and by day 30 you're carrying the operation. What You'll Own Counter and customers Run the front counter and quote residential and contractor customers on the spot, becoming the familiar face customers ask for by name Handle scheduling, tough conversations, and key accounts Yard and crew Set daily priorities for drivers, loaders, and lot laborers Dispatch deliveries and keep the lot organized, safe, and merchandised Cover open, close, and a Saturday rotation as manager on duty Inventory and vendors Own procurement end to end: forecasting, purchase orders, receiving, holding vendors accountable Reconcile inventory, the sod book (daily sod count log), and the POS (point-of-sale system) so the numbers match the yard Verify product against the ticket at every load-out (when a customer's order leaves the lot) Numbers Track and report sales, margin, and delivery data Flag new product lines and grow residential sales Run safety and equipment checks: none of this matters if somebody gets hurt What You'll Learn In 90 Days You'll master the basics first. knowledge training ends and you're running the yard with helpful coaching you main training. Day 60 and day 90 are goals you set with the owner based on what you already do best and where your value is best applied. Those are paid once you achieve them, not a calendar you wait out. Knowledge Base Mastered:
