A Landscaping or Grounds Supervisor supervises the staff that provide landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Supervises work to care for plants and trees, including mowing, trimming and planting, and work to repair driveways, walks, benches or other structures. Oversees equipment maintenance and transportation, and communicates with residential customers.
Landscape Construction Superintendent SUMMARY The Landscape Construction Superintendent is responsible for leading the field execution of Roebuck Landscaping's commercial landscape construction projects. This position provides direct leadership and oversight to Field Supervisors, Foremen, crews, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and to Roebuck Landscaping's quality standards .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee daily field operations across commercial landscape construction projects. Lead Field Supervisors, Foremen, crews, and subcontractors to meet safety, quality, production, and schedule expectations . Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and project needs with Project Managers and support teams. Conduct jobsite visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and overall field performance. Review project plans, schedules, and scopes while proactively resolving field challenges and delays. Develop field leaders and reinforce accountability, communication, and Roebuck Landscaping's standards. Monitor project productivity, documentation, and resources to support efficient and profitable project completion .
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in landscape or commercial construction, including field leadership or supervisory experience. Knowledge of landscape installation, grading, irrigation, hardscape, drainage, and site preparation . Ability to lead multiple crews, read construction plans, coordinate resources, and manage project schedules and field production. Strong understanding of jobsite safety, quality, job costing, and project efficiency . Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
