Hospitality, Golf, & Grounds Management We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Horticulturist/Landscape Manager to oversee the design, maintenance, and presentation of all landscaping and horticultural elements for a golf course near Sumter, South Carolina. The role is responsible for ensuring all outdoor environments are beautifully maintained, seasonally planned, and consistently reflect a high standard of aesthetics, hospitality, and professionalism. The ideal candidate combines strong horticultural expertise with an exceptional design sensibility, a hands-on approach to grounds management, and experience in high-end or hospitality-driven environments. Key Responsibilities Landscape Management Oversee all landscaping, ornamental plantings, and horticultural design across multiple properties. Develop and execute seasonal planting plans, including flowers, shrubs, trees, and container arrangements. Maintain consistent visual standards across all estate grounds, entryways, gardens, walkways, and outdoor gathering areas. Ensure all properties reflect a cohesive, high-end aesthetic appropriate for executive-level and hospitality use. Horticulture & Design Select and manage plant materials appropriate for the South Carolina climate and seasonal conditions. Design and implement landscape enhancements that elevate curb appeal and guest experience. Manage flower rotations, color planning, decorative plantings, and seasonal displays. Oversee soil health, fertilization, irrigation coordination, pest management, and plant maintenance programs. Golf Course & Grounds Collaboration Partner with golf course maintenance leadership to ensure all ornamental and perimeter landscaping aligns with course presentation standards. Maintain landscaped areas surrounding clubhouses, entrances, pathways, and practice facilities. Support seasonal enhancements tied to golf operations, tournaments, and member events. Hospitality & Event Spaces Maintain landscaped areas surrounding restaurants, event venues, and outdoor entertainment spaces. Coordinate seasonal décor and floral installations for events, weddings, and executive functions. Ensure outdoor hospitality areas are consistently guest-ready and visually appealing. Operations & Vendor Coordination Manage landscaping schedules, maintenance routines, and seasonal planning calendars. Coordinate with external vendors, nurseries, irrigation specialists, and contractors as needed. Oversee procurement of plants, materials, soil amendments, and landscaping supplies. Maintain equipment used for horticulture and grounds maintenance. Leadership & Standards Set and maintain high standards for landscape presentation and horticultural quality across all properties. Identify opportunities for improvement in design, efficiency, and sustainability. Serve as the central point of accountability for all estate grounds and horticultural activity. Key Requirements 3+ years of experience in horticulture, landscape management, estate grounds, or related field. Experience in high-end hospitality environments such as golf courses, resorts, private estates, country clubs, or luxury commercial properties strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of plant selection, seasonal design, irrigation systems, soil management, fertilization, and pest control. Demonstrated ability to design and maintain visually compelling landscape environments. Hands-on experience with grounds maintenance and landscape installation. Strong organizational and planning skills across multiple properties or sites. Ability to work independently with a high level of accountability and professionalism. Preferred Qualifications Degree or certification in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Turfgrass Management, or related discipline. Experience managing estate-level or multi-property landscape operations. Background in golf course landscaping or hospitality grounds management. Pesticide applicator certification or equivalent licensing (or ability to obtain). Experience coordinating seasonal décor or event-driven landscaping. Pay:

$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
