Grounds Manager Salary:

$17.00 - $22.00 / hour About the Role We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and knowledgeable Grounds Manager to oversee the complete maintenance, landscaping, and environmental care of our properties. In this leadership position, you will direct groundskeeping staff, manage irrigation and turf care programs, maintain heavy power equipment, and ensure that all outdoor areas remain immaculate, safe, and welcoming year-round.

Key Responsibilities Grounds & Landscape Management:

Design and execute comprehensive landscape, turf management, tree care, and plant health maintenance programs across all facility grounds.

Team Leadership & Supervision:

Train and lead groundskeeping crews, arborists, and maintenance technicians. Daily planning and coordinating with office management. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.

Equipment & Inventory Oversight:

Direct the routine maintenance, repair, and inventory management of heavy machinery, mowers, tractors, and power tools.

Qualifications Skills:

In-depth knowledge of turf management, plant diseases, pest control, and local soil conditions. Experience operating and maintaining commercial-grade landscaping equipment and heavy machinery. Strong leadership, communication, and project planning capabilities.

Certifications/Licenses:

Valid Driver's License required. Certified Grounds Manager (CGM) designation is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, rain). Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly and operate heavy machinery.

Pay:

$17.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
