Golf Course Superintendent

The City of Lampasas is currently accepting applications for the position of Golf Course Superintendent. Summary of Position Oversees daily operations of the golf course and pro shop, including supervising all golf course personnel. Annual salary range is $68,500.00 to $80,000.00, DOQ, plus excellent benefits.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of:

supervisory management; personnel practices and procedures; computers; standard office and bookkeeping practices and procedures; general golf course operations; game of golf; conducting tournaments; and golf course grounds and equipment.

Skill/Ability to:

solve problems; write letters and instructions; take inventory; perform basic mathematical calculations; analyze data; reason, and interpret policies and procedures; delegate and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the general public. Acceptable Experience and Training o High school graduation, or its equivalent, plus five years of experience; o Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Turfgrass Maintenance desired; o or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Certificates and Licenses Required o Valid Texas drivers' license; o Pesticide applicator's license (required); o Class A Member of GCSAA (Golf Course Superintendent's Association of America) preferred but not required.
