Christmas Light Installation Crew Supervisor-Mature Crew Member Concho Christmas Celebration San Angelo, TX Job Details Temporary | Full-time | Contract 10 hours ago Qualifications Grilling Equipment safety procedures Outdoor work experience Team scheduling Leading team collaboration initiatives Project leadership Landscaping Hand tools Full Job Description Position Overview The Concho Christmas Celebration is seeking a dependable, hands-on Christmas Light Installation Crew Supervisor to oversee a seasonal crew responsible for installing and maintaining Christmas lights and displays throughout the Concho Christmas Celebration Tour of Lights. The Crew Supervisor will work closely with the Event Director and Concho Christmas Celebration team to coordinate daily work, supervise an estimated 10-member crew, and ensure that lighting installations are completed safely, efficiently, and according to the event schedule. This is an ideal position for someone with experience in electrical work, construction, maintenance, handyman work, landscaping, installation, or crew supervision who enjoys working outdoors and taking a hands-on approach to getting projects completed. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate an estimated 10-member seasonal crew. Assign daily tasks and monitor progress to keep installation projects on schedule. Oversee the installation, adjustment, maintenance, and removal of Christmas lights and seasonal displays. Assist crew members with hands-on installation and troubleshooting as needed. Use basic electrical, construction, and hand-tool skills to identify and address installation issues. Ensure that equipment, tools, materials, and work areas are used and maintained appropriately. Communicate daily progress, concerns, supply needs, and scheduling issues to the Event Director. Follow established safety procedures and promote a safe working environment. Work cooperatively with Concho Christmas Celebration staff, contractors, volunteers, and other community partners. Help maintain an organized and professional work environment throughout the installation season. Assist with limited meal preparation, including occasional grilling or cooking for the crew. Help coordinate the crew's daily workflow and ensure assigned work is completed properly and on time. Assist with other reasonable event-related tasks as needed before, during, and after the Christmas light installation season.
Qualifications Required:
Previous experience supervising or leading a work crew, team, or project. Basic electrical, construction, maintenance, or handyman skills. Ability to safely operate common hand tools and work equipment. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to work outdoors for extended periods. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to follow schedules, prioritize tasks, and keep a crew working efficiently. Ability to work safely at heights when required and follow appropriate safety procedures. Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and working outdoors Cooking experience helpful
Preferred:
Experience with Christmas light installation or electrical lighting. Construction, electrical, maintenance, landscaping, facilities, or similar experience. Previous crew leader, foreman, supervisor, or project lead experience. Experience working with seasonal or temporary crews. Basic troubleshooting and repair experience.

March 2027 The position is seasonal, with the primary responsibilities centered around the installation, maintenance, and removal of the Concho Christmas Celebration's Christmas lights and displays.
Hours:
Schedule and weekly hours to be determined based on installation needs and the event timeline. Physical Requirements This position involves hands-on outdoor work and may require: Standing and walking for extended periods Lifting and carrying equipment and materials Using hand tools and basic work equipment Working outdoors in varying weather conditions Working from ladders or at elevated locations when properly trained and equipped Repeated bending, reaching, climbing, and other physical movements associated with installation work About the Concho Christmas Celebration The Concho Christmas Celebration is a long-standing San Angelo holiday tradition featuring the annual Tour of Lights. The event brings together community organizations, sponsors, volunteers, contractors, and local partners to create and maintain a large-scale Christmas light display for the San Angelo community. This position plays an important role in making that celebration possible by ensuring that the installation crew is organized, productive, and prepared to complete the work on schedule.
