Position Summary The Landscape Construction Supervisor for Residential and Commercial sites has the primary responsibility for performing high quality landscape installation efficiently and safely within the budgeted hours. Responsible for the proper care and use of tools, trucks, and equipment and be a contributing team member that will results in the successful completion of jobs in a timely manner. Present a positive company image with employees, clients and the general public. Responsibilities and Duties Landscape Installation

• Responsible for loading and unloading all plant material and equipment from the trucks following established safety and plant handling guidelines.
• Prepare soil for installation (digging holes, adding soil amendments, backfilling, placing plant material properly in the holes).
• Responsible for planting all plant material following industry specifications.
• Responsible for staking, guying, mulching, pruning, and watering properly all planted material.
• Learn construction techniques for timber walls, walks, patios, pavers, etc.
• Responsible for cleaning jobsite after job is completed every day. Equipment Management
• Proven ability to safely operate all large and small landscape equipment after completing training.
• Responsible for the safe and proper use of all landscape equipment.
• Responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of equipment after use.
• Follow check-in/check-out procedures and learn color codes of assigned trucks and tools.
• Learn and follow proper trailer hook-up procedures.
• Never leave unattended equipment on the jobsite and always use the right equipment/tool for the job performed. Safety
• Learn and practice all company and equipment safety procedures.
• Use safety gear (eye, ear, clothing) when needed.
• Know the location of first aid kits.
• Observe all speed limits on the road, yard and nursery.
• Report immediately to supervisor or assistant supervisor any personal, vehicle and equipment incidents or accidents.
• Complete with supervisor first report of injury or accident form when necessary.
• Attend all weekly tailgate safety meetings. Team Participation
• Be willing to accept directions and suggestions for daily job assignments and improvements from the supervisor, assistant supervisor and other team members.
• Give suggestions to foreman to help problem solve any obstacles that delay the project from being completed.
• Ask questions if uncertain on any assignment.
• Be respectful and tolerant of others behavior and views but bring discrepancy with Company and/or team policy to the attention of the supervisor.
• Be flexible and willing to shift from one crew to another when needed. Communication
• Daily with supervisor or assistant supervisor.

• Always wear the company uniform to work.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.
• Learn the company uniform policy and system. Education
• High school diploma not required, but preferred.
• Beginner or Intermediate conversational English preferred. Experience
• Field experience in landscape installation preferred, but not required.
• High school diploma not required, but preferred.

$23.00 - $26.00 per hour
