In Person Job Overview TLC Landscape & Construction is seeking an experienced and skilled Landscape Construction Specialist to lead and execute landscape construction and hardscape projects. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, understands how to properly build outdoor projects from the ground up, and can help lead a crew from site preparation through final installation. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with pavers, retaining walls, excavation, grading, drainage, irrigation, and general landscape construction . Experience operating skid steers, excavators, compactors, and other construction equipment is highly valued. This is a hands-on position. We are looking for someone who can lead the work while also doing the work. Responsibilities Lead and execute landscape construction projects from start to finish Install paver patios, walkways, driveways, and other hardscape surfaces Build retaining walls, steps, borders, and other landscape structures Perform excavation, grading, site preparation, and base preparation Install drainage systems and properly prepare sites for long-term performance Install and troubleshoot irrigation systems Install water features and fountains when required Read and execute landscape plans, measurements, grades, and project specifications Safely operate skid steers, excavators, compactors, saws, and related construction equipment Coordinate and work alongside crew members to maintain an efficient workflow Ensure projects meet TLC standards for craftsmanship and quality Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites Properly care for company equipment, vehicles, and tools Maintain job-site safety and complete projects on schedule Qualifications Proven experience in landscape construction and hardscaping Strong knowledge of paver installation and retaining wall construction Experience with excavation, grading, drainage, and site preparation Understanding of proper base preparation, compaction, elevations, and finished grades Irrigation installation and troubleshooting experience preferred Experience installing fountains or water features is a plus Ability to safely operate construction and excavation equipment Previous crew leadership or supervisory experience preferred Ability to read plans, take measurements, calculate materials, and execute projects accurately Strong problem-solving skills Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license preferred Requirements Candidates must be able to demonstrate their construction experience.

Independent Contractor (1099) Experienced landscape construction professionals who operate their own independent business may also work with TLC on a subcontractor/project basis. Independent contractors must maintain their own applicable business licensing, insurance, and required coverage and provide documentation before beginning work. Independent contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, licensing, and other obligations associated with operating an independent business.
