Job Description

Every meal delivered and every ride to a doctor's appointment depends on someone behind the scenes keeping the details straight. That's this job. You'll be the coordination hub for WASI's Nutrition, Transportation & Senior Services programs — scheduling routes, tracking meal counts, keeping volunteers and drivers on the same page, and making sure the seniors we serve never feel like a number. If you're organized, good on the phone, comfortable with a spreadsheet, and genuinely care about doing right by older adults in our community, we'd love to talk to you. What You'll Do Schedule Meals on Wheels delivery routes and Congregate Meal service Coordinate senior transportation for appointments, activities, and events Keep client, driver, and volunteer schedules current and accurate Maintain route sheets, meal counts, and delivery/transportation logs for grant and Medicaid billing Track vehicle logs — mileage, fuel, maintenance Be a first point of contact for client and caregiver calls Pitch in on delivery or transportation routes when the team needs extra hands What You'll Need Valid Alaska driver's license, clean driving record, proof of insurance Ability to pass an Alaska Background Check and pre-employment drug screening (including cannabis) Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in Alaska weather Bonus points: experience with seniors or human services, scheduling/fleet software, or a Food Handler's card Why You'll Love Working Here Real, visible impact — every schedule you build gets a senior fed or where they need to go Variety — no two days look the same between scheduling, documentation, and client calls Supportive team environment with a manager who has your back Serve your own community, right here in the Mat-Su Valley How to Apply Search Wasilla Area Seniors, Inc. on Indeed Stop by in person: 1301 S.
