Recognized as Marriott's Hotel of the Year for the Distinctive Premium Brand, the resort features two premier golf courses— Dogwood and Azalea —affiliated with the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. Dogwood is a meticulously maintained 7,104-yard, 18-hole, par 72 course winding through majestic pines, magnolias, and ancient oaks, while Azalea offers a par 72 challenge, ranging from 4,539 to 7,202 yards offering a diverse challenge for golfers of all levels. As a Golf Greenskeeper , you will be responsible for maintaining the impeccable quality of these stunning courses, ensuring pristine playing conditions for our guests. This role involves using a variety of tools and equipment to cultivate and care for the grounds, enhancing the beauty and functionality of the golf courses.
Key Responsibilities:
Turf Maintenance:
Operate tractors and power mowers to till, cultivate, grade, and mow the rough, fairway, green, and tee areas to ensure perfect playing conditions.
Fertilization and Pest Control:
Apply prescribed amounts of lime, fertilizer, insecticide, and fungicide to ensure the health and vibrancy of the turf.
Irrigation Management:
Set up hoses and sprinkler systems at designated points across the course to maintain adequate irrigation.
Landscaping:
Plant, trim, and spray trees and shrubs to maintain the overall aesthetics of the course.
Course Prep:
Engage in tasks such as digging, raking, and grading to prepare new greens and maintain traps and roadbeds.
Groundskeeping Equipment:
Use hand equipment such as weed eaters, edgers, and blowers to maintain a clean and well-manicured course.
Safety Adherence:
Follow safety regulations and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.
