Position Summary:
ASU Mountain Home seeks a full-time Landscape and Groundskeeper to maintain our beautiful campus.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Planting and propagation: Install annuals, perennials, bulbs, shrubs, and ornamental trees. Swap out seasonal flower displays.
Bed Maintenance:
Weed, deadhead, cultivate, edge, and mulch landscape beds.
Soil and Health Care:
Amend and fertilize soils, water plants, and check for pests, disease or nutrient deficiencies.
Pruning and Trimming:
Clear debris, rake leaves, and keep walkways and work areas tidy.
Mowing:
Push mow certain areas and use zero turn mower in other areas.
Other:
Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. Capable of heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely use hand tools, and power equipment (hedgers, blowers, weed eaters, push mowers, and zero turn mowers. Strong understanding of local plant zones, soil health, and plant care techniques.
General Days/Hours:
Monday-Thursday 7:30 am- 5:00 am & Friday 7:30 am - 2:00 pm
Other:
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal education equivalent to a high school diploma A minimum of 1 year of hands-on gardening, horticulture, or grounds maintenance experience.
