Golf Course Groundskeeper (Full-Time)

Hourly Rate:

$18.00 /per hour to $24.00/per hour, depending on experience.

SUMMARY:

To perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the maintenance of golf course grounds. Must be able to work as a team member to ensure the greens are kept in excellent condition. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Precision mow greens, tees, aprons, fairways, around trees, and other turf areas. Operate equipment, power tools, and hand tools in maintaining golf course. Verti-cut, aerate, and top-dress tees, greens, fairways, and other turf areas. Lay sod as required. Fertilize and spray tees, greens, fairways, and other turf areas with pesticides. Water golf course grounds per prescribed methods. Change cups and maintain flags and poles. Operate and maintain poser equipment used on the golf courses. Operate power equipment used on golf courses. Drive light and heavy vehicles. Maintain irrigation systems on golf courses. Knowledge of methods, tools, materials, and equipment used in golf course maintenance Ability to work as a team member to accomplish daily required duties and aide the new or less experienced worker. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members. Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must be able to exert physical strength by lifting up to 50 pounds frequently. Must be able to lift heavy supplies/equipment. Ability to work in various climates and temperatures. Ability to work as a team member and follow directions from a supervisor. Education and/or

Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent. This is an entry-level position in which on-the-job training will be taught.
