This position plays an important role in maintaining beautiful, healthy, and welcoming grounds that enhance the property and create a memorable experience for our guests. This is a unique management position that combines team leadership and administrative responsibilities with hands-on landscaping, horticulture, construction, property maintenance, and event coordination. Plan and oversee landscaping, beautification, and improvement projects from start to finish, including coordinating necessary materials, equipment, labor, and timelines. Conduct regular inspections of garden spaces to identify maintenance concerns, safety hazards, repairs, and opportunities for improvement. Maintain irrigation systems and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs to keep garden areas healthy and properly maintained. Work closely with the Pecan Lake Events team to coordinate garden bookings, private events, weddings, and special functions held within the space. Ensure garden spaces are clean, maintained, safe, and guest-ready prior to scheduled events and bookings. Coordinate with Events and Operations regarding event schedules, layouts, setup needs, landscaping considerations, access, and other garden-related requirements. Assist with the administrative side of garden operations, including bookings, scheduling, project planning, documentation, and internal communication. Help manage departmental labor, supplies, equipment, inventory, and operational needs while maintaining appropriate cost controls. Coordinate with outside vendors, contractors, and service providers when additional landscaping, construction, maintenance, or specialty work is required. Maintain and properly care for landscaping tools, equipment, machinery, and other garden resources.
