Position Overview:

The Grounds Worker is responsible for maintaining the grounds whether through flowers, irrigation, upkeep or other form of landscaping.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Follows direction regarding landscaping projects; ability to operate weed eaters, mowers, chainsaws, etc.

Timely completes assigned landscaping/grounds maintenance tasks.

Wedding and banquet/event set up.

Maintains open and positive communication with all other departments, ones supervisor(s) and co-workers.

Maintains vehicles, Identifies supply needs, and may assist in ordering.

Works as a team with grounds crew and/or other department employees on assignments.

Maintains safe work habits and uses all safety precautions recommended for each tool or machinery in order to maintain a safe work environment.

Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

General knowledge and working ability in landscaping, irrigation, horticulture.

Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and ability to work flexible hours.

The position requires the ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally.

This position requires the ability to stand, walk (6-7 hours at a time), and climb stairs, reach & bend. Weekend availability a must.

The position requires that the employee be able to read basic chemical labels.

Pool maintenance knowledge a must.

Must have valid drivers license. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED Valid drivers license for use of company vehicles may be required
